— Developing recyclable options that meet local and European standards
— Producing bags with side gussets that fit standard shipping cartons
Sun Plastics manufactures barrier packaging locally for both the SA market and food export. Our seven-layer coextrusion capability means we can produce film for shelf lives ranging from 3 to 36 months, and our vacuum pouches are available with side gussets, spine seals and k-seal options.
A large portion of barrier packaging used in South Africa is currently imported. There are real advantages to sourcing locally, faster turnaround, direct technical support, and material produced to the same standard.
